Group 5 Room With a View Demo/Annotations

This was my first experience ever at co-presenting on radio, and being in a radio studio whilst being recorded, so there was lots for me to learn. It was extremely eye opening c0-presenting as it was hard for me to know exactly what to say, and when to say it, as that process does not come naturally to me. Yet what I have come to realise, is presenting with another person on radio is about being professional, yet to also be relaxed and casual whilst on air, and I do know that it comes with practice that co hosts will take the speech in turns and will know instinctively when to talk and let the other co host talk. In terms of the interviews, I believe that I got more confident to ask questions that flowed with the direction the interview was going in, rather than constantly be depending on a prior list of questions. However I did also tend to use a list of questions for safety, which is also quite obvious in the recording. What I do need to work on is how to get my voice heard more equally with the other co-host, and how to make our voices sound natural when taking turns of speaking. Of course, there is lots to learn and the more I get back in the studio and practice the better I will be, however overall I was relatively pleased with how Group 5’s first demo ran.
