A few really intriguing things we spoke about in class today that was actually pretty interesting I thought I would not them down…
- media making has shifted
- media making will continue to shift in the future and we don’t know where we will be in the next 50 years
- the army for example, 50 years ago soldiers were trained to take orders from command centre but now they are training soldiers to make their own commands due to time and the equipment they hold.
- calling computer stupid gives it animation of the object humanising it
- trees now have rights, as if they were human. This was not an element of the past in our future the thing that will change is our relationship to objects and the rights that things will eventually have. Adrian referenced woman 100 years ago and the indigenous Australians and the rights they didn’t have 50 years ago. So like anything with time comes change.
