This week we started preparing film material for the final project, but unfortunately, we were having a heavy rainy day almost every day this whole week in Melbourne. I did not have enough time to film the industrial pollution where it is far away from my place, and I hope it will be more lovely sunny days next week.

Our final video is meant to be illustrating how human-induced activities influence the environment by giving a contrast between nature and the polluted area. In this creative test that I edited with the limited footage so far in hand, it portrays a natural environment where I filmed in one of the parks in Balwyn. So it can be an introduction to start off with the final video, it signifies the living environment that most people yearn for and look forward to nowadays. Forming a huge contrast and influence, this will also leave a deep impression on the audience and secretly choose their more yearning living environment. In this way, people are vigilant about the negative impact of environmental pollution and irreparable harm to the ecological environment.

While I was editing the creative test video, I found out that the screen of most footage is shaking, as all the clips are filmed by a smartphone holding on hands. The correction tools provided in Adobe Premiere are quite hard to use properly, and the screen of the clips started to float like a piece of paper on the water surface after the adjustment. Anyway, there is still some time before the finals for me to figure it out. Another improvement I have to concern into the next stage is, how to make the video look less stiff, consider whether to alternate shots with different environments to make the video more layered, or to mix in some artificial sound effects, or to use camera tricks like transitions. All of it is needed to be discussed further with the team over the next few days.
