Yesterday marked the final assessment for the semester. I helped set up for the exhibition by making an A3 poster with Film Write written on it, the full poster is below:

I also created the postcards for the studio exhibition after some confusion. I created a Punched Out postcard thinking that this would also be printed, however I found out later from Paul that there was only going to be one postcard for the whole studio. I ended up designing the postcard and I am quite proud of the finished product.

Angus, Neeve and I divided up tasks for the exhibition. Neeve organised the text and links for the Writing Film page. This can be viewed online. Neeve did a fantastic job writing the introduction and some of the text for the individual videos.

Angus was in charge or re cutting the trailers that we made for the presentation. He cut some of the dialogue from the first trailer and ended up colour grading the footage so that it matched the final product. He also experimented with sound design and edited together a great suspenseful piece of music. You can view both trailers online below:

I made a few things for the exhibition. I cut together all of the edited footage into one reel and added some titles with information about each segment. You can view this below:

I also created the Punched Out A3 poster:

The studio presentations dragged on, however it was great to see most of the work from the other studios. I ended up visiting Signal, to see the installation projection work by the Specific To Site studio. It was a fantastic auditory and visual experience, and if I was just passing by I would think the work was by professional video artists and sound designers not RMIT students. It is fantastic to see what students can come up with when given the freedom to create something.
