The Terminal

THETERMINAL

Terminals have always felt kind of like home to me. It might be because they are so ordered and symmetrical, a true temple to our ability to order chaos. It might be because they are our onramps onto the world… to be honest it is probably just the smell of the places, I think it might be jet fuel… that stuff just screams adventure to me.

This is the terminal to my blog, you will note a distinct lack of jet fuel scents. It is the gateway to different areas of what I’m learning and thinking about. As my studies go on, more gateways will open. At the moment, this is just a small regional airport terminal, it isn’t built up yet.

But the hoardings are up! Cranes are lifting bits of concrete up into the air and site inductions are taking place on the hour (you get a free high vis vest if you ace the multi choice quiz at the end). Basically, things are moving! This terminal will grow and maybe a six part documentary series will be made by a subscription channel in the future.

Gates are course specific, walk through them and you end up at a point of discussion which ranges depending on the course.
Lounges are topic specific, if you’re really keen on sound – you can spend your entire time at this blog chilling with waveforms and affordances. Lounges will feature posts from first year all the way through the degree, the linking agent being the topic of discussion.

Have a wander, leave a comment and don’t take photos in customs.

Work hasn’t started on this yet, I could make some quip about improving facilities but nah.
