PB3: Cont’d

How does anyone edit without two screens?

How does anyone edit without two screens?

Tonight, I got back to working on PB3. I hadn’t really looked at it much since I did the interview as I waiting to shoot some B-Roll this past Thursday . I was then was planning on getting the bulk of the editing done today…. I was planning on that so obviously that is NOT what ended up happening. Unfortunately, filming got pushed to Saturday morning so I figured I should probably get a jump on some of the editing before tomorrow (luckily I don’t have much do in my other classes at this time so I’m not feeling to crunched on time) . I had a lot to go through. My interview had lasted around 25 minutes and I’ve crunched it down to under ten minutes of dialogue now for me to edit into 3 or under.  This sounds like a lot but I was going through the footage I was getting some great Ideas of how I am going to structure the portrait. The Narrative Q&A ended up being a very helpful guide in my process of this.

I also continued my search for more found footage today… I’m hoping once I get more of the interview edited down I’ll get some more ideas for images/video I can include.

I’m also about to start editing the opening title sequence. I will be using THIS youtube tutorial to create the effect in Adobe After Effects. While working through any tutorials I am always thankful to have two screens to work as the tutorial is playing. I really don’t know how I ever use to get anything done with only my laptop monitor.
