Introduction to Sony MC50 and Interview Exercise
Challenges / Problems:
– Ineffective filming process
– Lack of planning about types of shots and questions
– Difficulty manoeuvring camera and zoom, in a smooth manner
Success:
– In the rare occasion the camera stayed still
Overcoming Obstacles:
– Used our failures to our advantage by making film comedic
How Could We Have Done Better:
– Instead of moving camera/zooming while one whole interview is acted out, we could have listed the questions and types of shots before shooting begins. By shooting multiple takes for the same questions, we would be able to explore more types of shots without hurrying the camera movement.
– Or we could keep changing camera positions after every interview question, instead of every interview round.
Learning Points:
– Be more specific!
– Be prepared with a more thorough plan before shooting
