THIS NEW BLOG AND ME

I honestly feel like this blog is going to be just a long form version of my twitter. Paragraphs on paragraphs of writing instead of just:

(referring to Lorde’s new single ‘Green Light’)

We started making these new blogs our own on Thursday. During class I managed to get through the basic elements of the ‘blog audit form’ we were given. Things such as ‘set time zone’, ‘add pages’, etc. Through this post, I’ll attempt to tick off the other things. It’s prompting us to get as much as we can out of these blogs, which I appreciate.

I’m excited about the ways in which I can take this blog and I’m also excited about getting to read other people’s posts. On a whole, I’m seriously full of enthusiasm. Let’s see how long this will last. My posts might just get shorter and shorter as the semester goes on.

Let me tell you a few things about myself. This will let you get to know me but most importantly, it’ll help me tick off all the boxes on the form.

  1. This is one of my favourite vines in existence. Titled ‘Two moms at brunch’ (2015)

    RIP in peace, Vine.

  2. So far, I’ve only got one regret in life:

I’ve also got a YouTube channel and it is absolute trash but I still do it because it helps me keep my creativity alive, I guess. I don’t ever want to be stagnant so I just keep making things. The motto that sticks with me when I’m doing this YouTube stuff is ‘finished, not perfect’. You probably can’t use this motto for everything in life but for this, it works.

Here is a really good video explaining the ‘finished, not perfect’ thing:

One of the most important things for any creator to learn: Finished, Not Perfect

  3. I love space. Here’s a photo I took:

(“wow, you love space?” you say. “I had no clue even though you said it in your last post in also in your about page.”)

I think that covers most of the things on the audit form. I love embedding things into blog posts so you’ll definitely see me do more of this.
