Last year we ran the festival for the first time.www.effm.org.au We had an outstanding turn-out, with films that sparked debate, inspired thought and empowered people to envision a better future. The festival will be running in mid-September this year, and we are now in the process of collecting films for this year’s screening. The festival will be running over 5 days, and in addition to a selection of international films, we would like to showcase some home-grown work from budding film-makers in Melbourne. We think it’s an excellent idea to encourage local film-makers to tackle the vast list of environmental issues our world faces, whether in the format of Documentary, Fiction or Animation. We would love to receive submissions from your students who are developing projects this year. The films do have a limit of 10 minutes, and will need to be ready by July. Films that are selected will be screened at the Kino in Melbourne, September.
