This clip is investigating combining footage with some of the sound I have recorded so far. I would like to experiment with Penelope’s singing and story telling and combine it with footage of her playing music and doing other personal activities. At this stage I’m not exactly sure what I’m going for exactly I’m just trying to combine what I have gathered so far and see if anything suits or compliments more than others so that when I get to the bigger location with the camera I will know specifically what to spend time on.

I do love the sound of her recounting her memory. She has a sure, strong voice that goes against how she presents in the footage because she’s so petite and dainty. I actually really like this contrast and I like the strength that comes through in her singing voice and how it doesn’t match her physicality. I’ve noticed Penelope also speaks really well. She’s a natural story teller and I didn’t have to direct the tone or the pace of her voice it came totally naturally to her. The recording of her memory wasn’t scripted and was actually the second of an even better take that she forgot to press the record button on! We both made some silly technical mistakes on Sunday but it’s funny because I thought I would never make such stupid mistakes and hey! I did! But this recording of her memory was wonderful as well. I better watch out, she’s giving me gold and I have to be technically able enough to capture it effectively and remember to hit the bloody record button. #Embarrassed ; )
