Drawing from the reading on interviews from this week, as well as your own experience, how do you plan to approach interviews in your film? What are some challenges and how can you overcome these?

Approaching interviewing in my documentary should be fairly easy, as it is based on one person. Through the experiments through vox-pops and interviews, the idea of not being prepared was something that was daunting, and having to approach people who may not want to be interviewed. In my documentary, my subject already knows that he is going to be interviewed, as well as the subject of my documentary – because it is his own personal story, he will have an idea and the context to be able to conduct the interview with me, rather than it being random questions. A challenge might be conducting the interview and getting him to speak in front of the camera as well as being comfortable, as it is not commonplace for them to be filmed and be in the documentary. By having some idea about questions and the layout of the documentary, it allows the person to be comfortable in their answers.
