Camera Shy? Time to interview!

For this week (week five!)’s workshop, we got a turn of the camera! This is all very exciting for me – I shoot with my own DSLR (which does a decent job) but trying my hand at professional equipment – the quality is insane! First off, we had a little “film fesitval” of our PB3 which I really enjoyed – I liked watching everyone’s work and how they interpreted their ‘self-portraits’.

We then split up into groups and filmed a short interview about tips for university and ‘how to survive’. Our group both interviewed each other and some other students on campus. I think the hardest part of this was our time constraints as we only had an hour to film something that we thought was up to standard. I also found it really fun to go down to the ‘tech supplies’ office which has been one of the things (and one of the reasons I came to RMIT actually) that I have been looking forward to the most. I think I will be using a RODE Mic for my PB3 but I have enjoyed using a Sony M50!
