MAKING SENSE OF SOCIAL MEDIA (ASSIGNMENT #4): PROGRESS WORK 2

Here we are, back again after the feedback from the group presentation we had! It was super fun to be able present in person again after a year of being in lockdown. I was pretty nervous as there were people from Sensis that came by as well, it was super fun to be able to present our first version and page for everyone to see. The support was highly appreciated, and us as a team presented whichever part we did. We had some feedback regarding some referencing ideas on the content we put out, and also to make our content more engaging with the audience by including some concepts of making the entire team more involved virtually.

After our presentation, we made a few discussions online and offline as a team and decided on some more things we should add to the final presentation and work of art we’d call a masterpiece before the semester ends. I was assigned to do another interview video for consistency, do a ‘question and answer’ session for the viewers to engage more and also for us to be able to help anyone who needs a space or person to talk to. We decided for Wednesdays to be the days we host the sessions and I posted a story with the feature where our followers can ask us anything! It was truly an experience being able to answer all these questions and it definitely felt good knowing we all have each other’s backs in this. Another thing I had to do for the interview, was try to switch it up a little with having the opportunity of  interviewing a pretty big social media creator with a high following on Instagram and TikTok and it was an experience to be able to hear the side of someone who’s life is entirely online.

As a team, we managed to come up with more postings, stories and also a video idea for the final project. With the spectacular teamwork ethic within the few of us, I’m proud to say this project was truly a roller coaster but it was so eye-opening to be able to create an entire Instagram page, where we engage with people who have truly experienced the pain of cyberbullying and most importantly normalising on opening up on it and making sure it gains awareness as a topic.
