WEEK NINE

This week we filmed the locations for three of our models: the Footscray Market, Workshop Bar and Greville Street. Coordinating our schedules to shoot each location was very difficult so we broke up the locations and each shot one. This allowed us to each spend more time in each location conciliating footage and filming a larger range of the locations. In all we each got between 5 to 10 minutes of footage which will then need to be cut down into smaller clips shorter than 30 seconds. This does make editing a time consuming process but I think it will pay off at the conclusion of the project as we have a wider array of shots to choose from. We took this from Christina’s advice last week and just from looking back at my own footage I can tell that this process has been beneficial. The more I shot the location the more comfortable I felt in the environment which is reflective in the latter shots being of higher quality than the earliest shots. The project at the moment is very fragmented so it is hard to visualise what the final outcome will look like, though each week is beginning to feel like one step closer towards a complete film.
