WEEK EIGHT

This week was about organisation and preparation. We began the process of planning the final month or so of our project. This including booking the Green Screen studio and finalising our models availability. We booked the session for Thursday week 10 which will allow us to get the background shoots done periodically over the next few days.

Organisation is something that I think will have a large influence over the outcome of our final film as we are working with four models and up to six locations. We need to be precise in ensuring everything gets complete within an adequate timeframe to allow to edit. I suspect editing with take up a large duration of our time so preproduction is essential.

We met with Christina in our class time to update her on our progress and she gave us a few last tips before we headed out to shoot. She reminded us of the importance of of filming extra shoots and ensuring we cover our subject completely. From this advice, I think we will shoot the green screen with two cameras – one filming on a tripod wide-shot and one capturing hand held mid-shots. Because we have never used a green screen before I think it is important to overcompensate to make our lives easier when we begin to edit.
