This photograph is a very important photo to me. Each of these people I had been best friends with since the age of 14 we were all having pre drinks the night before One Night Stand when Violent Soho headlined – These people in this photo helped shape me to be the person who I am today, I learned so much with these people by my side and seeing this photo still circulating when I lost an entire hard drive worth of photos with them all hits me right in the heart.
I don’t know if we would have ever anticipated the amount to which we have changed.
Moments after this photo the redhead dragged me into the Violent Soho mosh pit (for a free concert it’s a ridiculous pit I have ever been in).
I bumped into my friends that lived 8 hours away in a small country town called Mt. Gambier and I was pushed into my closest childhood cousin who is only a year older, both of us with alcohol fuelled ciggie in the mouth and laughed and said don’t tell Pa.

This day was warm, the midst of a dry Mildura Summer and I was surrounded by people I dearly loved.
