Symposium WK 1

First Symposium of the semester, and apparently the only one that will be a ‘traditional’ lecture, with the lecturer standing out the front professionally outlining specific information about Networked Media and the course. In this, Media Factory was introduced to the cohort, explaining where to find the information, readings and announcements for this subject.

Some points about the Symposium: 1:Quality is independent of quantity. 2: University today should provide an experience that changes how I understand and what I understand. 3: To learn how to ‘be’ a learner in my discipline. 4: To learn a vocabulary of tacit knowledge that is ready to hand. 5: It is a qualitative change in understanding a difference, that makes a difference in how something is known.

A QUALITATIVE CHANGE IN THE FORMS USED TO EXPRESS KNOWLEDGE, IN WHAT COUNTS AS KNOWLEDGE, AND HOW IT IS CONDUCTED.
