Wong Kar-wei and His Film The Grandmaster

The film is an art of finding empathy, and everything the director arranges is aimed at making the audience feel what the director wishes to convey. The use of the camera is one of Wong Kar-wei’s characteristics, even the label. In The Grandmaster, director Wong Kar-wei succeeds in using shots and effects to create the atmosphere he wants, and he spent eight years preparing the film and three years shooting it. He is a director who operates his films as an artistic aesthetic, and I think that is what attracts me to his work. This research will analyze the artistic charm of this film from the shots and effect of this film and the aesthetic style presented by Wong Kar-wai’s film.
