RWAV TEAM 2 RADIO FEATURE ‘Living with Endometriosis’

We decided to present a radio feature about the under acknowledged chronic condition, ‘endometriosis’.  We interviewed Maddi and Jessica at their respective houses. They are two young women who shared their experiences with Endo. We also completed a phone interview which allowed us to gain insight on the condition, from Dr Alex Polyakov – the clinical director for IVF at the Royal Women’s Hospital, and Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Melbourne. Creating this radio feature gave us great knowledge of how to tell a story to the ear, how to construct a narrative, and add sounds to compliment your work.

RWAV Team 2 ‘LIVE SHOW’ 27th Of April Triple R Show 

Our ‘live show’ included interviews of three interesting guests. These included Catrina Bradshaw, a sexual health professional who we spoke to about an STI called MG, Maggie Zhou, a fashion journalist who advocates for sustainability in fashion, and lastly, FilthyRatBag, who is otherwise known as Celeste Mountjoy, a Melbourne-based artist, and illustrator, and we spoke to her about making art that so many people relate to. Going ‘live on air’ as well as pannel operating was a great industry experience, which took practice and trial and error. Learning these skills will be valuable if we are wanting to pursue a career in radio, and this experience also taught as life lessons about time management and professionalism.
