We all love music – be it pop, rock, rap or any of the multitude of genres that exist. But what happens when the music stops? How do artists cope under the circumstances that has put a hold on everything they love about music; the collaboration, the creative inspiration and the live shows? Using the zoom platform I interviewed a number of Australian bands and artists about how covid-19 has impacted their career. This film is a brief look into some of their struggles with trying to stay inspired and motivated whilst in lockdown. Although we are all going through the same thing, ‘What Happens When The Music Stops?’ provides a unique perspective through its use of poetic and metaphorical footage.
