This research project focuses on Pedro Almodovar, one of the top directors in the world, and discusses the scene coverage of his early films, “High Heels”(1991) and “Kika”(1993). It analyses how lens, actor’s performance, space and the screenplay works individually or collaboratively comes together creating a successful scene. By watching and analysing scenes in Almodovar’s film, I found out that space plays a very important role in Almodovar’s early films in terms of impacting the movement of actors and the camera. Such camera language results in a great visual psychological implication which drives the story.
