When Raine’s basketball team lost their game, he never expected that his teammates would cite his race as the reason for the defeat. Sadly, this kind of racial discrimination is all too common amongst teenagers in Melbourne. Like Raine – Ella, Wendy and Skylar have all experienced overt racism whilst living in Melbourne. What Did You Say Then? is a 5-minute documentary which combines interview audio and animation to shine a light on the harmful effects of racism on teenagers in Melbourne.
