Kaylene Carlin had just begun her dream career as a primary school principal at Sacred Heart Primary School in Newport in 2020. However, with the outbreak of COVID-19 and the increased pressure to shut down schools, Kaylene tells her story about her reaction to this crisis, how she is coping with this as a new principal and discusses how Sacred Heart has had to adapt. Not only that, but she shines a light on how her school has been impacted by changes such as online learning and the new challenges that teachers are faced with as she prepares for an uncertain future.
