THE NEXT SET

 

18 year old James Hartson is a college athlete, playing tennis at the University of Winthrop, South Carolina. Destined to fulfil his lifelong dream of becoming a professional tennis player, James left his home in Australia and moved to the US, not knowing he would be returning home so soon. The current global pandemic COVID-19 swept the nation resulting in James and athletes across the country having to hang up their racquets and return to their home countries. Travel bans and social isolation rules, means the future of many athletes sporting careers have been put to a halt with growing uncertainty. This film depicts and explores the hardships athletes are facing and navigating during the time of COVID-19.
