BIANCA LAIDLAW Bianca isn’t 100% sure what she wants to do with her life and degree, but that’s okay. Heading towards the end of the second year of her Bachelor of Communications (Media), she has enjoyed exploring the many different facets of the industry. Bianca’s main passion lies within the creative conception and creation of fictional content, something that the Soft Choreography studio has fuelled and explored upon excitingly. CANDICE JADE RULE Candice is a three time winner of Sundance Film Festival and likes to spend her time writing, modelling, reading ancient jewish poetry, playing electric guitar and reading people’s palms. CONNOR MULVANEY Connor is currently in his first year of the Bachelor of Communications (Media) at RMIT and had previously completed the Advanced Diploma of Professional Screenwriting also at RMIT. This was his first time exploring more conceptual and experimental forms of filmmaking, having mostly worked on short films and music videos in the past. CRISTINA ULLOA SOBARZO Cristina is a second-year student currently studying a Bachelor of Communications (Media). She has a keen interest in documentary filmmaking and (over-)analysing all sorts of films. Throughout the Soft Choreography studio, she has enjoyed the (virtual) collaborative aspect, gaining great insight from the creative writers. She has also experimented with new editing techniques and has been thrown right outside of her comfort zone through learning new ways of writing, and studying multifaceted theories which have resonated deeply and will continue to influence her future creative practices. MONIQUE BRONTE LAUTIER Born and raised in Melbourne, Monique has always had a flair for creativity. STUDIO LEADER Dr Smiljana Glisovic has worked across various mediums and forms, as an artist, actor, writer and media maker. Her creative practice research is located in the intersecting fields of documentary, installation and performance as a site for affective knowledges of body-place relationships. She has taught writing and cinema in the School of Media and Communication at RMIT for the last 10 years.
