Music in the Walls focuses on Ballarat’s now-defunct Sutton’s House of Music, a beloved live music venue. Through the eyes of manager Dani Fry and local performers Motor City Sounds, see what this space meant to the community’s spirit, and what was lost upon its closure.
Highlight of the studio: We had such an amazing experience hearing people’s stories about how this one space had such a positive effect on so many. We felt a real responsibility to inform the audience of the place’s rich history and display the fun, inclusive and diverse vibe of ‘Sutton’s House of Music’. Being a group of only two we learnt a lot about collaboration and working with what we have, and enjoyed ourselves while doing so.
