Assessment 3 was all about experimentation. This is the assessment we spent the majority of our time on. Working within constraints, as groups, we were required to create x2 three minute “micro” documentaries. These three minute documentaries are a response to social or political phenomena, such as oppression or borders. Three minutes was the absolute maximum limit, so you might find some works that are shorter.

The constraints were different for the two films. One film had to be made from entirely found or archival footage, and the other had to be entirely shot by us, without any found footage. Neither of the films were allowed to contain interviews – challenging for a documentary piece.
