As you’ll all know, Melbourne WebFest Director Steinar Ellingsen will be joining us during this session to talk about pitching. Please arrive early as it is a great privilege to have his time and experience.
Before and after that, there is plenty more to do!
The things we need to be on top of are:
- Ready to shoot materials (now that you all have draft scripts, these should be well underway)
- Pitch & Proposal content (you’ll work on this today)
- WIP updates (you can focus on these after the pitch & proposal in week 7, but you will need to prepare)
Some important points that I also want to mention:
- Catering! Don’t forget about this for your shoots. You have large groups, so $20-30 each should be ample budget for sufficient hydration and nutritious sustenance. On that – don’t get pizza. Your crew will fade about 30 mins after eating.
- EPOC: This doesn’t have to be completed scenes, it could be a teaser, test scene, or even an EPK including IVs with the team and footage of table reads – get creative! Check out this very simple yet effective teaser for House of Cards S4.
- Make sure you each have a job to do: There is a lot to happen between now and shooting, don’t sit back and let someone else do it, make sure that you have a job (or several) to help your team get ready.
