Today we’ll chat a bit more about studio specifics, including assessment tasks and the weekly schedule. Then we’ll take a look at some of the series’ you’ve been watching, and get started on Assessment Task 2: Describe & Analyse, Reflect.

For details, see Assessment Task 5. Thanks to Alana & Shannon for putting their hand up to create our first weekly update. To get us started I’ve written the Week 1 update, but a 45-60 second video would be the ideal format.
Suggestion: we use the same pairs as Assessment Task 2 for weekly updates.
4) Reminder: setup Google Folder & Google Doc
You’ll need to do this to submit Assessment Task 1 this Friday!
On that: Assessment Task 1 will be very simple and you should be able to complete a fair chunk of it in class on Wednesday, however please make sure to find some time outside of class to finish it.
5) What are you watching?
Let’s watch a couple of clips, and think about:
- One thing that draws you to it
- Something distinctive about it
- Another series/show/film that is reminds you of
6) Assessment Task 2
For this task you will work in pairs, choose an episode of a web series that you both like, and Describe & Analyse it. Then you will each write an individual reflection about what you learned through this process. See the Assessment Task 2 Sheet for more details.
Check out the Describe & Analyse TEMPLATE for this task (available in GOOD FORM – CONTENT Folder, Week 2, on Google Drive) which your pair will fill out for your chosen webisode.
Let’s discuss what each of these headings mean. Then, as a class, lets go through a webisode and work though each point.
