It says that in this type of genre the victim’s timing is poor because the editor’s timing is right on. It says that the suspense is build on the audience’s anticipation and this anticipation is build by the editor by placing the timing and pacing of clips in a certain order. This placing and timing will create an impression on the audience to react in a certain way. Using fast paced short clips can create urgency and terror and in the same way uncut long clips can create a sense of mystery towards the audience. It further explains that it is not always the timing and pacing. The editor needs to choose the right clips too in order to convey the message.
