Pitches + Teaser/Proof of Concept

Instructions

Project teams will present their concepts to a panel of ‘studio executives’ (a.k.a. Media & Communication Faculty Members, as well as their class peers) with the hope of gaining approval to continue development and production. This pitch must last no longer than 10 minutes (you will be timed). In addition to the spoken pitch, groups must have prepared sample media, be it a teaser trailer, proof of concept, prototype, or pilot: this will be screened or passed around the room.

Each group member must upload to their student blogs a 500-word statement, detailing their role, and their own personal understanding of the project and its direction. In addition, your weekly 200+ word blog post for this week should focus on the experience of the pitch – what it was like to present your work, what it was like to receive feedback, how you’ll look to implement suggestions made by studio leaders and peers.

Submission Instructions

Upload your 500-word statement to your student blog by 11:59pm Sunday 26 April.

References are not mandatory, but must be included if necessary, i.e. if you cite the work of others, or refer to examples, e.g. films.
